Bulbophyllum pardalotum is a Philippine species that is often described as a cool to intermediate grower, but we have grown it for years without any trouble in warm South Carolina. The flowers are yellow-orange with deep red spotting and open in the morning then close again in the early afternoon. Each flower lasts about 10 days and repeats the open and close cycle daily. The plant flowers freely throughout the year.
