Guaridendrum Rosita

Guaridendrum (Epicattleya) Rosita is another neat little hybrid using our much loved Epidendrum magnoliae, this time combined with Guarianthe (Cattleya) bowringiana for clusters of cheerful pink to lavender flowers on compact plants.

As with Epidendrum Sunbelt's Gossamer Star these could be an interesting plant to experiment with tree mounting in areas where more tropical species are at high risk. We can't make any promises as each individual plant can vary but the cold hardiness of Epidendrum magnoliae may help them survive in cooler subtropical climates.
