Psychopsis are famous for the butterfly shaped flowers, and as an added bonus the mottled foliage makes for a beautiful foliage plant when it isn't blooming. Once the plant matures however it will rarely be out of bloom, they produce flowers sequentially on each spike for several years. Make sure you don't cut the spike before it is brown and dry! Psychopsis Mendenhall 'Hildos' was awarded a First Class Certificate, the highest possible award for flower quality, by the American Orchid Society. It is also an easier plant to grow than pure Psychopsis species, the perfect introduction to the genus. This is a clone, flowers will be exactly as pictured.
